Stunning example of mid18th Century German porcelain tea/coffee pot.
Manufactured circa 1755 in Thuringia by The Königlich Tettau porcelain factory.
Decorated with camaïeu rose pattern in monochrome puce with few delicate applications in gold.
Very crafty repair with silver of the chipped spout - it was reconstructed with engraved silver replacement which was then chained to the handle via collar mounted on the top of the lid.
Marked on the bottom.
Height without lid: 21cm ≈ 8.2in
Height with lid: 27cm ≈ 10.6in
Condition: good with chipped spout concealed by mentioned silver repair, also it has a chip on the base of the lid.
